Trying things out is fun. The most efficient way to do it is when we have a specific task at hand. The first task that we encountered in a business context with ChatGPT is SEO. So, how do we get ChatGPT to write texts that rank well?
The great thing about these tests was that others had already tried out a lot. So, we could partially copy the prompts and quickly came to results. Here are our 10 tips for becoming not only faster but also better:
Of course, we don’t want to hide our sources:
It is pointless to optimize a text if it is irrelevant, insignificant, or boring. If the topic is not good, then the measures will only be of very limited use. We often read that ChatGPT cannot generate anything new and is not creative. We can at least challenge that. ChatGPT makes topic suggestions. Even though the approach to finding ideas is very different from ours, it can work. In combination with Google Trends, for example, we can find out which topics are currently being discussed in our industry. Then we ask ChatGPT to make ten or twenty suggestions for article topics. From these, we choose two that we find exciting because they are not too stale or ubiquitous.
Context comes into play again here. We can tell ChatGPT which suggestions we like and which we don’t, in order to have it make further suggestions for us. We can also give instructions on what to consider when searching for topics, such as target audience or medium. This is not only important for enhancing existing articles, but also for topic selection.
ChatGPT will probably not suggest anything groundbreaking. But do we write articles on groundbreaking topics every day? And do our readers only find such topics interesting?
