Today, SnipClip launched the campaign "Germany's Next Web Designer" (GNWD). The company is searching for a creative talent with entrepreneurial spirit who wants to join the founders team and  to become the Chief Creative Officer of SnipClip. The application requires the design of a digital collector's book that presents the applicant and his or her references.

Today, the Software & Support Verlag GmbH, one of Europe's leading IT information providers, launched the first SnipClip collector's album at the Webinale conference in Berlin. Webinale, one of Germany's most important web conferences uses the SnipClip solution to promote its sponsors and exhibitors. Conference participants use their mobile phones to scan 2D barcodes displayed at the booths of participating exhibitors. In exchange they receive collectibles for their albums. Each completed album participates in a drawing for valuable prizes at the end of the event.
 

VentureBeat announced today that SnipClip is a top seven finalist at the Who's Got Game startup competition at the GamesBeat 2009 conference. The conference will take place in San Francisco on March 24. At the conference, SnipClip will have five minutes to convince the audience and a panel of notable gaming experts. The winner will be promoted on VentureBeat.

The Microsoft Germany GmbH will support SnipClip with their high-tech start-up initiative "unternimm was.". The initiative provides individual support in order to accelerate business growth and product development. SnipClip already benefits from the partnership with Microsoft through BizSpark, a program that supports start-ups with Microsoft tools and technologies.

Prof. Dr. Thomas Hess joins the advisory board of SnipClip. Prof. Hess is the director of the Institute for Information Systems and New Media of the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München. He is also a member of the program committee of the Virtual Goods conference and will advice SnipClip with his profound knowledge about the media industry.

The German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi) and the European Social Fund (ESF) of the European Union provide SnipClip with an EXIST support programme. The support programme "EXIST-Gründerstipendium" is aimed towards high-tech startups with an academic background and an innovative and unique product.

"The Intel®+UC Berkeley Technology Entrepreneurship Challenge is where the best engineers and scientists present how they plan to make the world a better place through their innovations and entrepreneurial skills", states its website. SnipClip is one of just a few dozen teams worldwide that is invited to present their idea in mid-November at the UC Berkeley to a handful of selected venture capitalists. The Intel®+UC Berkeley Technology Entrepreneurship Challenge (IBTEC) awards $25.000 to the winner team and provides each team with contact to investors and industry experts.

103 people took the chance to vote online for their favorite startup at the Community IGNITE. Each participant could assign three points to three different startups or to one single startup. With 137 votings SnipClip is the winner of this competition round. The next round will take place at the Community Summit in Hamburg next week.

The organizer of the German Community Summit conference nominated SnipClip for the Community IGNITE award. SnipClip was awarded for its innovative community-based business model. Now the Internet users can decide which of the 11 startups should present their business idea at the Community Summit in Hamburg on 30. September to 1. October.

The German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology awarded SnipClip for its unique and innovative business model at the IFA 2008. The award "Gründerwettbewerb. Mit Multimedia erfolgreich starten" honors young start-up companies from the media and web industry. This time 163 teams applied for the award.
